Ceiling Border Trims

Our ceiling border trims join a horizontal plasterboard surface and metal ceiling tile. Our product differs from the full tile to plasterboard trim because this particular product utilises a clip system. A spring clip secures the metal tile.

The product provides a crisp, accurate joint for vertical and horizontal plasterboard, transitioning metal pan ceiling tiles. Utilising a shadow gap detail is also an option which is the addition of a recessed channel extruded into the profile to create a line of shadow between the abutment of the two materials. Architects often make use of this design feature to soften junctions.

Design Drivers

All our trim products include a "V" groove and screw channel, which allows for bugle head drywall screws to fix the trim to the structure. The innovative design ensures that secure adhesion without dropout or settlement cracking is achievable.

We manufacture ceiling trims from 6063 extruded aluminium which is temperature tempered (T6 delivery condition). As an architectural grade, 6063 offers an attractive overall finish and boasts good strength with corrosion resistance. Not only does aluminium offer the performance characteristics you require, but it also is environmentally friendly since the alloy is entirely recyclable.

We offer plasterboard trim profiles for ceiling from stock in 3-metre lengths for next day delivery. Metal curving, custom colours and alternative factory finishes are also available on request.
