Smiths PRO-trim is a stockist and supplier of tile trim and dryline wall trim products. Our extensive stock is available via our UK wide distribution network. We welcome order enquiries from merchants and showroom businesses.
Often referred to as F trims or F beads, our door recess trims are a shadow line feature trim that removes the need to fix an architrave to the finished installation.
The result is a clean and crisp joint between the dry lining and door lining, creating a modern, minimalist look. As with all our dryline walling trim products, our door recess trims should be taped and jointed.
As an architectural grade, 6063 is the perfect material for manufacturing door trims. Not only is the finish pleasing to the eye, but performance-wise, the alloy provides an attractive combination of strength and corrosion resistance. 6063 has a longstanding history in the manufacture of intricate extrusions. However, while 6063 is a robust material, our trims are intended to boost the overall aesthetic of the installation; there is also some associative benefical impact on the structural performance of the dryline wall. During installation, additional structural framing may be necessary and doubling up on plasterboard will improve overall rigidity.
Our door trims include a "V" groove backplate combined with a specially designed screw channel that takes bugle head drywall screws. With this ingenious design, you should expect secure adhesion with no settlement cracking or dropout of the jointing compound. We offer door recess trims from stock in white polyester powder coating as standard (RAL 9010 20% gloss). Custom colours are available on request (most common RAL colours).

Standard products supplied in 3m lengths. Custom options include lengths up to 6m. Products over 3m will incur an additional carriage charge- further bespoke options are available (see curving, fabrication and metalwork).
