Smiths Building Systems is an ethical business in aspects of the working environment, and leaving a lower carbon footprint is no exception. We operate efficiently while continually working to reduce the environmental impact in the world we live.

We take every possible opportunity to recycle during the manufacturing process; this is not only ethical but affords us cost savings too. For example, we make great use of aluminium as a product material and utilise the global aluminium recycling programme to significant effect.



Routine Recycling

Like most businesses, our activities generate high volumes of waste products. Our facilities make provision for comprehensive recycling of waste products, including packaging. We strive to be environmentally friendly in all aspects of our working environment. Our employees are trained and follow procedures to ensure that all waste is kept to a minimum.

We undertake this as part of a continual improvement programme to ensure that our carbon footprint is kept as low as possible. Our operating framework challenges all personnel employed within the company to participate and co-operate at all levels to achieve our environmental obligations.
