As part of our banded glazing system, we also offer our partition glass primer. If used correctly, this product will allow you to achieve a strong bond between the aluminium banded glazing section and the glass.
Once the banded glazing tape installation phase is complete, it will not come off - this makes the system incredibly easy to install. When installing the glazing system, we recommend the use of both partition glass primer and glass cleaner. Cleaning the glass is the initial priority, and the glass primer finds use in areas where the banded glazing tape will reside.
The glass primer allows the adhesive on the banded glazing tape to create a strong bond to the glass. To ensure correct installation, we recommend using our glass primer on the aluminium banded glazing transom strip, which will ensure that the bond is sufficient. If installed correctly, the aluminium sections will not be able to be removed without significant force. Our partition glass primer is supplied in 1-litre containers to make it easy to transport and use.
