Tile Trim Fitting

The PRO-fit design takes the headache out of fitting listellos. Tiles vary in thickness, making the addition of decorative accents difficult.

Traditionally, tile adhesive makes up any thickness discrepancies, which is often tricky to apply uniformly. Should this solution work, the soft nature of liberally applied adhesive will still move around as the listello is applied, see-sawing left and right, making a subtle, flat finish challenging to achieve. Using a PRO-fit tile trim packer on the wall or listello will give a firm, uniform stanchion to create a level finish for your decorative border.

Listellos are generally produced across the World in thicknesses between 6mm and 7mm, although there is no recognised standard as tiles can vary from 6mm to 12mm or even higher.

For example, to install a combination of a ceramic tile of 10mm and a listello of 6mm, it will be necessary for the installer to fill in the back of the listello with adhesive to bring it to the same height as the tiles. The process proves cumbersome and problematic for the installer, not to mention the cost of the time spent to obtain a perfect result.

The Solution?

Cut the PRO-fit 4mm to fit the selected listello's width, then embed the cut PRO-fit into the adhesive at 3 or 4 different places on the utilised listello. Once the profile sits firmly in the adhesive, it will remain at the same height as the tile, with the PRO-fit assembly functioning as a wedge. PRO-fit works for all listello applications and finds use in conjunction with PRO-smart, PRO-bord and PRO-bord flat.
